Thelma

Nate's dad came down this weekend to help Nate work on the yard and he brought their dog Thelma with him. Madison and Thelma are good friends. They love each other! I got some cute pictures of the 2 of them while the boys were out working hard on the yard.

Day Off

Today I got a snow day, so I got to stay home with Madison today! Madison is napping right now, but we have had so much fun already today!

Talking on the phone

Dr. Madison giving shots

Eating a treat (yogurt, bananas & milk)

Reading Books

Eating Lunch

Playing

Last night Madison was playing in our laundry basket and I got some pictures of it. It reminds me of my baby pictures as I have some of me playing in laundry baskets as well. Is there any kid who doesn't have a picture of them playing in a laundry basket??

Taking Walks

Madison loves to take walks. Normally we just take walks to the park right by our house since it's about a 5 minute walk (at Madison's speed at least). And since she loves the park just as much we get to do 2 fun things!! Walks and parks!! :) There is this community "Trappers View" right by our house and no matter what Madison stops at it every time on our walk to the park and points at different letters and wants Nate or I to say the letter it is she is pointing to. She plays this game with her teacher a lot at KinderCare also. They have alphabet letters in her classroom and Madison will hold up a letter and the teacher will say the letter and a word that starts with that letter. Madison will go faster and faster until the teacher messes up and she thinks it's hilarious!!! Now we don't say a word that starts with that letter also, but she still loves to stop here. I decided I would start taking a picture there of her every so often as kind of a growth of her. Like right now she is still shorter than the "VIEW". Someday she'll be above the stone!!! Of course it's impossible to get her to turn around to look at the camera because she's just so fascinated by the letters...

This is what a typical walk looks like with Madison - Jewelry, puppy (she can NEVER leave home without it) and if she has a coat on, which she didn't this day because it was pretty warm out, she walks with her hands in her pockets and one of us is carrying her puppy.

Snow Storm

We got our big March snow storm this weekend. It wasn't as big as expected, big it still made for a great day for Madison to go play out in the snow. It was still pretty cold when we out this morning, and Madison and I are also both fighting a cold, so we didn't stay out too long, but it was still nice to get out of the house for a little bit.

Coloring

Madison is really in to coloring lately. She got a big coloring book for her birthday that she has enjoyed coloring in a lot. Of course, like every kid, she colors just a little on each page and then has to go to the next clean page. Kids are so silly sometimes. AND she always wants to color with markers instead of crayons... Anyways, it makes for some cute pictures. :)

Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice on Sunday, March 14th. I won tickets (I know, I know... AGAIN) so it was perfect. Madison had so much fun!! The theme was 100 years of Magic so it was almost all the Disney stories just shortened. We all had a lot of fun and Madison wanted this pony so we ended up getting her that too. She insisted on sleeping with it that night too of course... It didn't look very comfortable to sleep with, but that didn't seem to matter to her.

Brushing teeth

Madison took some really cute pictures while brushing her teeth the other night. She has always loved to brush her teeth, now if we can just get her to feel the same way about brushing her hair...

Happy 2nd Birthday Madison!

It's hard to believe Madison is already 2!! Man how fast time flies when you have kids! Today, Nate and I both took off work to be with Madison on her birthday. This morning we woke up and Madison opened her presents. Then we went to Madison's KinderCare and brought cupcakes to her class. Then we went to the Children's Museum where Madison had lots of fun running through the "woods" there. Then we came home and Madison is taking a nap now. When she wakes up from her nap, we will just relax around the house and let Madison play with her new toys. Then for dinner we are planning to go to Cici's pizza.

Go Team!

Madison has so much Boston Red Sox "stuff". I think if it's up to Nate she will root for the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots, & Bruins over all Colorado teams!! But.... We'll just have to see when she's older I guess.
