We bought Madison a little potty when she was about a year and a half old. She always would point to her diaper and say "pee" so we knew she understood when she was about to go potty so we decided to buy her a little potty (since she was scared of the regular potty and wouldn't even sit on it) and just see if she would go on it. She did, and still does, enjoy taking off her pants and diaper and sitting on her potty. She rarely actually goes, but she must feel like a big girl just sitting on her own little potty. She has gone in her potty 3 times already though!! And she's not even 2 yet!! YAH!!! One time she went up in to her room (Nate and I were downstairs) and Nate went up to check on her and her potty was in the middle of her room (she had pulled it out of her closet) and she had peed in it. She didn't even need to ask us for help - she just did it on her own! She is growing up so fast and is becoming such a big girl!! She has only had 2 accidents too. And yes, she still wears diapers, but once she takes off her pants and diaper, she is SO hard to get to put another diaper back on so sometimes we just let her stay pantless - so that is when the 2 accidents happened. Of course, we give her little rewards (stickers) when she does go potty in her toilet. She LOVES that part.
I love this one - I gave her the sheet of stickers and she just ran over to the floor and laid down like this and took every single sticker off the sheet and put it on her shirt... :) So cute!
